Terms & conditions
The rules that apply when you order a model from WePrint3D.
1. Who you are contracting with
These terms apply to every order placed with WePrint3D, operated by Nuno Filipe Carvalho Mendes, sole trader, NIF PT265031052 (“we”, “us”). Full identification details are in the legal notice. “You” means the person or business placing the order.
2. How a contract is formed
The prices and packs on this website are an invitation to request a quote, not a binding offer. A contract is formed only when all of the following have happened:
- You send us a request describing the model you want.
- We send you a written quote stating the specification, the total price, the shipping cost and the estimated lead time.
- You accept that quote in writing.
- We confirm receipt of payment.
Production begins after step 4. Until then, either side may walk away at no cost.
3. Prices and payment
All prices are in euro (EUR) and are the final amount payable. VAT exempt under Article 53 of the Portuguese VAT Code (CIVA). No VAT is charged on our invoices.
Payment is made by bank transfer to the account shown on your quote, which is held with Wise. We do not accept card payments through this website, we never ask you for card numbers, and no payment credentials are collected or stored by us. Bank transfer fees charged by your own bank are yours to pay.
A quote is valid for 14 days. After that, material and shipping costs may have changed and we may reissue it.
4. Specification and approval
The specification in the accepted quote is what we build. Requests to change it after production has started are treated as a new quote, because printed material cannot be recovered.
Before packing we send you photographs of the finished model. If something does not match the agreed specification, tell us at that point and we will correct it at our cost.
Hand-finished items vary slightly. Layer texture on curved surfaces, minor colour variation from a reference image, and small differences between copies of the same model are inherent to the process and are not defects.
5. Lead times and delivery
Lead times are estimates in business days, counted from confirmed payment, and exclude shipping transit. If we expect to miss an estimate we will tell you as soon as we know and you may cancel for a full refund if production has not yet started. Delivery terms are set out in the shipping policy.
6. Files and designs you send us
You keep ownership of any design you send us. You grant us the limited right to use, repair, slice and reproduce it solely to fulfil your order.
You confirm that you hold the necessary rights in anything you send, or that you are otherwise entitled to have it reproduced. Clearing rights in a design is your responsibility as the customer, and you agree to cover any third-party claim arising from us producing it on your instruction. We act as a manufacturing service carrying out your brief; we do not verify the ownership of designs supplied to us.
We reserve the right to decline any request at our discretion, and we will always refuse:
- functional weapons, weapon components, or parts intended to defeat safety or security systems;
- items unlawful in your country or ours.
Where we decline, any payment already made is refunded in full.
7. Cancellation and returns
Because our items are made to your specification and clearly personalised, the statutory right of withdrawal does not apply to them once production has started, as permitted by Article 16(c) of Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights. Your rights where an item is faulty, damaged or not as agreed are unaffected. The full position, including cancellation before production and the legal guarantee of conformity, is set out in the refund & return policy.
8. Legal guarantee
Consumers in the EU benefit from a legal guarantee of conformity of at least two years from delivery. If an item does not conform to the agreed specification, you are entitled to have it repaired or replaced and, where that is not possible or proportionate, to a price reduction or a refund.
9. Liability
We are liable for foreseeable loss caused by our failure to meet these terms. We are not liable for loss that was not foreseeable, for business losses such as lost profit where you order as a business, or for delays caused by carriers, customs or events outside our reasonable control. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Printed models are display and prototype items unless the quote says otherwise. They are not certified for structural, medical, food-contact, automotive or safety-critical use.
10. Changes, law and disputes
We may update these terms; the version in force when you accept a quote is the version that applies to that order. These terms are governed by Portuguese law and Portuguese courts have jurisdiction, and consumers keep the mandatory protections of their country of residence. Complaints go to info@weprint3d.com first, then to the alternative dispute resolution body named in the legal notice. The EU ODR platform closed permanently on 20 July 2025 and is no longer available.
